Limited numbers of pups will be available this spring in different locations throughout the country to qualified, committed, and knowledgeable homes. Limited numbers placed in good home through the pet trade help fund wild to wild relocation efforts when donations have been exhausted or efforts to obtain a paid relocation contract aren't possible. Capture and relocation is not without expense and placing some in people's homes that are committed to their long term care can not only give a prairie dog a chance it may not have had due to predation but also helps several more find a new home in the wild where they are wanted.
