HELP! PD needs a home!
My name is Beth, and I am a brand new member. I found a PD a few days ago, as she just wandered into my yard. She deserves a person or family that will be able to take the BEST care of her. I do belive that she was previously someones pet, however I have not found any signs posted in the surrounding area. I would love more than anything to keep her, however that is not possible since I have 2 small mini dachunds - and this breed was designed to hunt and kill burrowing rodents. They are frantic with the new arrival, and this has caused the PD to become quite scared and depressed. Not to metnion the 100+ lb Lab who constantly barks due to her presence. Her feeling are very hurt. I have now learned many of her sounds and what they mean. I would love the chance to keep her as every day I look forward to seeing those shinning eyes, and listening for a possible new sound she might make.
I know she would make someone and excellent pet, however - my household is just not right or fair to her. She is very affectionate and loves to be around people, and she enjoys my 4 year old son - they both have a facanation with each other!
If anyone is interested in fostering her or adopting her - please PLEASE let me know!
I do have pictures that I could email to any interested party!
Thanks, Beth smile

Beth,
Don't fret! There are lots of people around this area that would be willing to help. I have space for a new arrival and would be more than happy to give your little wanderer a safe and happy home. Plus, she would probably love to have some of her own species around ;). Thanks for taking the time to care for her and understand her predicament. Thats truly a noble thing you've done. Just email back if you have any questions or would like to talk. savejumpyips@yahoo.com

Cheers,
Philsmile

GREAT NEWS!!!
Squeakers has found her new home, and has been adopted!! I could not of asked for a better individual to come forward with interest of adopting his 2nd PD! Phil, who is also a PD member, responded to my posting on this message board, and I can NOT thank my lucky stars enough for such a perfect owner and home for her!!! Phil and I met this past Saturday, I brought my PD, and he even brought his little male Monkey! (who may I add is just adorable - well - I guess they all are really!!!) I am sure both PD's will love having each other as company! Phil bringing his PD was PERFECT for my 4 year old son - who was NOT thrilled about us giving up our little PD, but when he saw Monkey - I fibbed just a tad, told him that Phil had found our PD's Mommy - and they could not wait so be re-united!!!! My son was then very OK with letting Squeakers go.....
I have since received an email update from the new daddy, who has reported....'so far so good', and even sent a picture of their first kiss......
Allthough I miss seeing and talking to Squeakers, I know she is much happier with her new surrounds and attention! I wanted to publically thank Phil for stepping to such a great cause, and offering such a perfect home for this PD. It is wonderfull to know that there really are still good people out there willing to help animals who are in need.....
I also wanted to thank everyone else who expressed interest in helping this PD find a home! smile
