Do Prairie Dogs really make good house pets? Can they be fully potty trained or are the.........subject to mood like my ferrets are?

They are very tidy. Nobody can promise they can make it back to where they use bathroom but they will try very hard.

You know you're asking a group of people who have Prairie Dogs as pets if "people should keep them as pets?" Right?? Then saying that YOU think we shouldn't?

"as they were supposed to be"?

~and how much do you know about Prairie Dogs?

I know that they weren't supposed to be poisoned, shot at or mutilated by bulldozers, so therefore I DO think people should keep them as pets, where they are safe, kept healthy and happy and fed and LOVED and live twice as long as they do in the wild for those reasons.

biggrin

I also don't think that whether or not they are "potty" trained is a good measure in there ability to be good pets. There pellets are NOTHING compared to like a DOG that isn't house trained or a CAT, they are tiny pellets that don't even make a mess if ones slips out here or there! laughing
